Greetings!
My name is Natalya Misyuk.
I am from Crimea, but I have been living in Lviv since 2014. I am the author of the project “Let's Make Text,” which makes people fall in love with the Ukrainian language.
I also won Scholarship of the President of Ukraine for young writers

"Mova: Witches' Secters"
What kind of book is this?
01
“Adventure Handbook”
This is a story with a fascinating plot, which weaves together the main differences between the Ukrainian language and Russian.
02
Published in 2024
Publishing house “Mamino”
126 pages
hardcover
large color illustrations
03
For ages 10+
It will be most useful and interesting for people who, as it turns out, spoke Russian before. Like I once did too.
Characters
The cat Murmurare (according to one version, the modern words “mova” was formed from Latin word "murmurare") finds himself in a world where four witches live.
Numeral, Noun, Mrs. Plural — these are all characters in the book. Each of them has their own appearance, habits, and even quirks.

Irena Karpa,
writer, singer of the band QARPA.
“Even if you have spoken Ukrainian since childhood, this book will contain many linguistic discoveries or at least logical explanations for you. If you are just in the process of this exciting journey – the transition from the imposed language to your native language – you are generally lucky. Because all these differences in endings, the correct use of cases and the formation of the plural form will no longer scare you. This is a book-game in which both schoolchildren and their adult wards will find something for themselves."

I have never come across such a touching, exciting and at the same time very understandable book about the Ukrainian language. Sounds that are brewing in a pot, Adjective-artist who describes what he sees, "Г" of the 1993 harvest... And all this in modern settings: with Google, cappuccino, navigator... It's like witchcraft language magic and at the same time a world understandable to teenagers. And at the end I just cried -
this is very sweetly written!
